Adding Privacy Landscaping in Kailua-Kona to a Previously Vacant Lot
When you build on a vacant lot, or in the case of one of our clients, add a manufactured building to an unimproved site, landscaping and planting are a must. The primary needs are turf installation, stone for driveways and parking areas (perhaps as a base for concrete or asphalt), and shrubs or trees at focal points.
Our Kailua-Kona Landscapers Respect the Needs of Each Client and Property
No two homes or commercial properties are alike, and in the case of this one, a natural privacy barrier was a priority. Keeping in mind what looks most natural and grows well in our Kailua-Kona local climate, we planted 120 areca palm trees along the perimeter. They will grow nicely and soon provide an attractive “green wall” around the property. It will give some privacy and enhance the lot’s curb appeal.
Hawaii Irrigation Systems are Often Crucial to a Thriving Landscape
It’s one thing to prepare the soil and plant trees and shrubs, but it’s another to ensure they will grow and thrive for years to come. That’s where irrigation systems come in, and even in tropical climates like ours on Hawaii Island, they can be essential. Based on years of experience, we can analyze the soil and sunlight on your property to help determine if irrigation is needed. If yes, we can provide a range of options, including the newest water-conserving drip systems. They save significant amounts of water compared with conventional sprinklers.
